Walk for Water
Presented by Portland Roasting

We sponsored our second annual Walk for Water on March 21, 2010. The second year brought double the amount of walkers and raised money that will allow Water for All to start construction of a well in Tanzania. Water for All is a non-profit organization dedicated to building wells and increasing access to water for communities throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Please visit our Walk for Water site to find out more about the event, our speaker line-up, the non-profit  fair,  speaker line-up, team relay and our World Water Day concert. You can donate at any time during the year via our registration page.

This year, the event is put on by Portland Global Initiatives, a non-profit organization we created in order to promote global water issues.

Sign on and fill up. Tap It Water, a national network of cafe's, coffeeshops, and restaurants has joined forces with the Portland Water Bureau to promote their drive to curb the tide of plastic water bottles. It works like this: Members sign on to be a Tap It Water partner and offer to fill up customers and potential customers reusable water bottles. We are a proud booster of Tap It and encourage all of our customers to sign on. See our list of customers who have enthusiastically joined up.

Please go to the Tap It Water site and become a member. They will furnish you with a handy sticker for your window and custom-made posters to place in your shop. Be part of the campaign to reduce waste and keep water free for the masses.
