Project: Walk
for Water
Walk for Water is Portland
Roasting's second annual World Water Day event that raises money for the
construction of wells in sub-Saharan Africa. An educational event as well,
the Walk calls attention to the plight of millions of women and children
throughout the world who suffer from a lack of access to water. Held along
the shores of the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon, the Walk for Water
will raise money for Water For All, a non-profit organization that does
the on-the-ground work of building wells and pumps.
