North East Monsoon
October 21, 2007
The South West Monsoon has retreated and this year it is good news. This year it poured and poured,as I have been saying in my previous posting it definetly took a toll on the plants and the soil. However,The Karnataka Plantation Coffee group due to our BPN(balanced plant nutrition) programme devised by IMT,PUNE the impact on the farm was limited.
The North East has just started and the first week has been promising. If the North East plays it part it definetly helps next years produce and brings down the number of dry days in the winter. However if the North East is extended it interfers with the harvest and that is not Good news.Lets hope the North East is ideal(as all farmers would wish.)
