Stephanie ended up at the front desk fielding customer service calls at Portland Roasting Company via a roundabout route that started in her home state of Michigan where after earning a degree in Outdoor Recreation from Northern Michigan University, she took off to parts previously unknown to her. She covered ground from Washington to Florida, Idaho to Alaska, and Montana to New Zealand. After six years in the Pacific Northwest, she has been able to indulge her outdoor passions, which include boating, skiing and backpacking, and, not surprisingly, traveling.
After learning the finer points of production and the ropes of customer service, Stephanie is now Purchasing Manager. She is charged with keeping the warehouse stocked with product, so, as she puts it, “at the end of the day, we have satisfied customers.” She enjoys working in the coffee industry and making a difference in the lives of the hard-working coffee farmers.
