Andy Davis, Customer Service
A commitment to learning threads through Andy Davis’s past to his present job as one of Portland Roasting’s coffee roasters. In his younger days Andy worked slinging shots to support his performance career after graduating from University of Pittsburgh. It was behind the bar that Andy found his passion for coffee, but it was his move to Portland that solidified his interest in the industry, especially in the roaster's relationship to the bean.
As one of our two main coffee roasters, Andy balances providing consistently excellent product to our customers while furthering his knowledge and growth in the coffee community. Alongside Ryan, he takes care of the green beans in the warehouse – tinkering with roast levels, evaluating flavor profiles, cupping new coffees and of course roasting our green beans into a delicious finished product. Andy says what he likes most about Portland Roasting is our ability “to exist in a socially and environmentally sound manner in an industry that all too often has been about human and land exploitation.”
Outside of the workplace Andy spends his time riding his bike around town, drinking French pressed African single origins and watching movies. He lives with his wife Rachel and their two cats Ezri Dax and Delenn.

Pascoe Reynolds, Customer Service Representative
EmailWhile “trying in vain to make you laugh,” our customer service representative Pascoe Reynolds answers your questions and fills your orders day in and day out. With an extensive and varied background in service, Pascoe arrived at Portland Roasting excited about working for a company he felt good about while going above and beyond to make our customers happy. We look past the fact that he only drinks tea because of the humor and positivity he brings to the workplace.
In his spare time Pascoe hangs out with his cats and family watching bad movies.

Zac Benjamin, Delivery Driver
If you ever catch sight of a Portland
Roasting van around town, more than likely it’s Zac behind the
wheel. As our main delivery driver for the past year and a half, Zac
spends his workday bringing coffee to our customers around the Portland
area. After hours, Zac writes and blogs on his website. When asked for
biographical information for our site, he gave us a paragraph best left
untouched.
"I grew up in a small town outside of Buffalo, NY. The town was named Batavia and its one of the few textbook definitions of a micropolis in the nation. I've got a twin sister, Chelsea, a younger brother named Sam, and two more sisters, twins as well, named Emma and Molly. Growing up we had two dogs, one of which the kids got to name (Jasmine) and the other of which our father got to name (Martha). Here are a couple things about me: how I arrived where I am today and where I intend to head are a function of the reconciliation of my emotional and reasonable selves, much as how I imagine the paths of most other lives are paved, but I guess can't be sure. Also, my favorite cup of coffee is on Saturday morning, I think the best moments are when people defy their natures or tell their stories, I'm bursting at the seams with self-serious whimsy, and I probably like you more than I let on."

Raffyn Reynolds, Service Manager
EmailService Manager Raffyn Reynolds is our resident equipment expert. When a machine malfunctions or a customer needs help programming their brewer, Raffyn is the man for the job. He performs preventative maintenance, filter changes, and machine installations, among other duties.
A resident of the UK until his teenage years, Raffyn finished school in a small town in Idaho and eventually made his way to Portland. He spent his formative years working in bars and restaurants, including at least one that uses Portland Roasting coffee, before finding a job with us. He lives in the Woodstock neighborhood with his girlfriend Hattie (who owns one of Portland’s original vintage clothing stores), their daughter Paisley, and their pets Pedro and Piet. And yes, he is Pascoe's older brother.
